a) National Cadet Corps (NCC) :NCC wing of the institute is attached to 12BN (O), Dhenkanal. It operates on self financing basis and has an intake of 50 cadets including boys and girls. A senior faculty with requisite training guides the NCC activities which include regular parades, training camps and other social service activities. The cadets also used to celebrate Independence Day, Republic day & NCC day in the college premises. Every year the NCC cadets of our institution have allowed to attend atleast two camps such as ATC & CATC conducted by NCC group headquarters, Cuttack and one NIC if available. During the year 2009 10 cadets are allowed to attend CATC at Naraj from 18th February 2009 to 28th February 2009 and other 10 have also allowed to attend CATC at Sarang from 16th June 2009 to 25th June 2009. In 2010 18 cadets of our institution are allowed to attend CATC camp at DSM College, Bhapur from 3rd February 2010 to 12th February 2010. Further during the year 2009 7 cadets have passed 'C' Certificate including 3 girls and 15 cadets have passed 'B' Certificate including 3 girls. In 2010 5 cadets including 2 girls have passed 'C' Certificate and 16 cadets including 3 girls have passed the NCC 'B' Certificate successfully. Students are strongly advice to enroll in NCC.

b) National Service Scheme (NSS) : The institute has introduced National Service Scheme as per the provision of BPUT. It has 3 units, two for boys and one for girls. Each unit consists of 50 members. A senior faculty member guides and organizes the NSS activities with student volunteers. 7.8.2009 to 15.8.2009 The NSS volunteers of the institution organized a Banamahostav week program inside the institution premises from 7.8.2009 to 15.8.2009 in which they have planted 50 nos plants inside the institution premises to make the campus green, in which 25 nos of girls volunteers and 50 nos boys volunteers have participated. During the program Director (A), Principal, Registrar and other teaching & non-teaching staffs along with Mrs Anita Padhi, Trustee have remained present to encourage the volunteers for such noble work. 23.11.2009 All the 150 NSS volunteers have celebrated the Flag Day on communal harmony on Dt. 23.11.2009 by organizing meeting, debate among the NSS volunteers. They have also raised some funds by distributing the communal harmony flag. 17.3.2010 On Dt. 17.3.2010 the NSS volunteers have organized a mega Blood Donation Camp in honor of Late Rajmata Ratnaprava Devi, Ex- MLA Dhenkanal on her birth anniversary where 282 units of blood have been collected. The camp was successful with the help of Central Red Cross Blood Bank, Cuttack & District Red Cross Blood Bank Dhenkanal. However the camp was inaugurated by the Chairman, SIET, Collector & District Magistrate Dhenkanal and Yuvraj Amarjyoti Singh Deo. The NSS volunteers of our institution have been appreciated and received a trophy for highest blood donation in Dhenkanal District on Republic Day on 26th January 2010 from District authority.

c)Rotaract Club : The institute has a Rotract club under the sponsorship of Dhenkanal Rotary club with RI No. 3260. It has 50 fellows including boys and girls.
During the year 2009-10 the Rotract volunteers have done commandable jobs by participating in social service activities with the NSS volunteers in plantation program & blood donation Program on Dt 3rd march 2010. They have organized a service camp at children's home of Dayananda Service Mission, Gobindpur where poor and orphan children are staying. The volunteers have spent 8 hours with the children and organized some competition like debate, song, art & music. During their stay the Rotract volunteers distributed some sweets among the children. The members of Rotract club also atteneded different competition during the year 2010. Our Rotracts are awarded as the winner of inter college competition for excellence performance for English language by Ahead's Language Lab.

Rotract Tadasa Nayak, CSE & Aurobindo Mishra, EL&TC have received trophy from district authority & Minister for the winner in debate competition on Independence Day, 2009 & Republic Day, 2010 respectively


d) Annual Cultural Function (Synfest) : The College Cultural Committee organises annually various Cultural Activities under the name of " SYNFEST ", which is aimed at the overall development of the students as well as providing them an opportunity to interact amongst themselves and indulge in healthy competitions. The Decennial celebrations of the college on a grand scale in the coming year will witness larger participation amongst the student community in the Orissa region. For the past few years, it has been celebrated as an Intercollegiate Festival attracting a large number of students from all over Orissa.

e) Technical Associations & Clubs : There are student bodies which encourage students for group activities towards innovative thinking. There are different technical associations & clubs as follows :
